…shows a struggling economy?
Each week the USCIS updates its statistics on how many H-1B visa applications have been received towards the annual H-1B visa cap. Last week’s update showed that 29,000 applications have been received towards the normal H-1B visa cap of 65,000, and 15,800 applications have been received towards the master’s degree cap of 20,000.
These numbers are significantly lower than in years past …at times the annual cap was met during the first day of processing. Looking forward, it appears that the H-1B visa will continue to available to cap-subject applicants for many more months this year.
